New Americans Corner

Welcome New Americans!  All five branches of the Worcester County Library have added citizenship resources to their collections and created a “New Americans Corner.”  Access to study materials, including practice books and flash cards, as well forms and applications from the U.S.

Job and Resource Fair set for March 16

The Worcester County Library is hosting a free Job and Resource Fair on Wednesday, March 16th from 3-6 pm at the Berlin branch (13 Harrison Avenue). New StoryWalk Selection with Local Connections

In February the Worcester County Library installed a new selection at the StoryWalk® located at John Walter Smith Park in Snow Hill: “By and By: Charles Albert Tindley, the Father of Gospel Music” by Carole Boston Weatherford and illustrated by Bryan Collier.  This newest title celebrates Black History Month and is particularly notable for its local connections.

Valentine's Day Escape Room!

Do you have what it takes to solve all the puzzles of this escape room? Teams of 4 or fewer may participate all month long.  At the end of the month, teams with the shortest time will win a special prize. You can participate in the escape room at ANY Worcester County Library Branch!

Art for Wellness Series - Ocean Pines Branch

Join Art Therapist Sivan Perdue as she introduces and guides participants on ways to use art to increase wellness. This is a three-part series will be held at the Ocean Pines branch on Wednesdays, February 9, 16, and 23 at 10:30 am (please note updated dates, 2/2/22). This program is made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore through the Katherine Ellen Brown Community Fund.

Free Expungement Clinic in partnership with MD Volunteer Lawyer Services; January 25 - 4 - 6 pm

The Worcester County Library is offering a free expungement clinic in partnership with Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Services on January 25th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at our Ocean City Library (10003 Coastal Highway). 

COVID Safety Protocols Instituted for In-person Worcester County Library Programs

Effective Tuesday, January 4, 2022, those attending in-person programs at the Worcester County Library will be required to wear face masks and practice social distancing. These enhanced safety measures for library programs have been implemented to protect public health in response to the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases in Maryland.

In keeping with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, the wearing of face masks in other areas of the library branches is recommended, but not required at this time

Tiny Art Competition

Pick up a Take & Make Kit with everything you need to become a Tiny Artist!  Kits will be available from January 3 - 15th.  Submit your creation by January 17th for judging.  A 1st place winner from each branch will be eligible to win an art kit on January 31st!
