CatalogIt - New Resource

The Worcester County Library is proud to be a resource and repository for historical information related to Worcester County and the surrounding areas. We have been working to make our historical records more accessible to patrons both in-person and digitally. We have recently uploaded several of our collections to a web app called CatalogIt, which will allow you to view and search our collections from the library or from home. From photographs and newspaper clippings, to programs and yearbooks, the collections cover a range of topics and formats.

Memory Kits Now Available

Worcester County Library works to support patrons through all stages of lives. All branches and our Pop-Up Library now have memory kits and (ho-dee-ay) card games to spark memories and foster conversation and connection between people with memory loss and those who care for them.

One Maryland One Book 2023 "There There" by Tommy Orange

The Worcester County Library is hosting the One Maryland One Book community read, a program of Maryland Humanities. This year's selection is Tommy Orange’s "There There," a novel about modern day Native Americans in urban settings. The book explores twelve different characters across Native communities as they gather for the Big Oakland Powwow. The novel addresses themes of sobriety, mental health, and ideas of cultural preservation.

Delaware Botanic Gardens Admission Passes now available for checkout

Free Delaware Botanic Gardens Admission Passes now at Berlin. Ocean City, and Ocean Pines Library Branches

The Worcester County Library is proud to partner with the Delaware Botanic Gardens to offer free passes to the Gardens this summer. Passes are available to borrow from the Berlin, Ocean City, and Ocean Pines branches using a current library card.

New Hours, effective March 6

New Hours effective March 6, 2023

All branches of the Worcester County Library will open at 9 am (Monday - Saturday) effective Monday, March 6.  Closing times vary by location.

NEW: 10 DVD Limit per library card

Just in time for the long holiday weekend, the Library is increasing the number of DVDs you can checkout to 10 per card! We have a great selection of movies, tv shows, and documentaries at all five branch locations. Checkout period is 7 days. Thank you!
