Worcester County Library Strategic Plan Community Survey

Worcester County Library Strategic Plan Community Survey

Every few years, Worcester County Library reflects on the current state of the library and considers where it should be headed.  The resulting strategic plan is used to prioritize ongoing decisions about library service to the community.  As part of this important process, the library is conducting a survey.

Dial-a-Story

Dial a story logo 1-888-964-2686

Are you missing storytime? Call our Dial-A-Story number, 1-888-964-2686 - to hear a children's book read by a librarian! The stories are updated every week on Wednesday and will be read by librarians from across Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Please help us spread the word if you have any friends or family without internet access - we want all of the children in Worcester County to be able to hear our stories.

Book Returns are Open

Thank you for you holding on to library materials during our closure. Worcester County Library bookdrops are now open but our buildings are closed (library-to-go service now available!).

Summer Reading! Imagine Your Story

Summer Reading

Our Summer Reading Beanstack program has begun! Read as many books as you can! Log your books, attend virtual programs and explore the activities. Virtual badges chart your progress. You earn an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing each time you earn a badge. To get started visit: WorcesterLibrary.beanstack.org.

One Fish, Two Fish, We Fish, Free Fish

The Ocean City Branch of the Worcester County Library, in partnership with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, is offering a Free Fishing Rod Loaner Program. Adults can check out a rod a tackle to use in bay and river waters. The library hopes to encourage individuals and families to explore the sport of fishing. An adult library card is required to check-out these rods. For more information and for program regulations, please visit the branch or call 410-524-1818.
